CA New, lurked for a few weeks

Hey what's up everybody just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Frankie. I finally decided to join after lurking for a few weeks, I've always been a fan of Rx7 well more specifically Mazda's

My background consist mostly of Probes, I bought my first 92 F2 probe when I was 16 and followed by picking up various different probes v6's i4 and the 1st gen F2t's after that I picked up a Hyundai Tiburon although nice car and fairly easy to work with. I ended up crashing at the same time I had an SRT4 by far one of my Fav.

Well which brings me up to this point. I don't have an Rx7 yet, but I really want to pick up an FC either an S4 or S5. Granted I don't have much money so I need to pick up a rolling chassis so I can piece it together, so I hope on doing that really soon.

Well, Frankie, it definitely sounds like you have the mechanical acumen to pull off a ground-up rebuild, so it's great to see someone like that looking to salvage another RX-7 and save it from the crusher. Read the "Read This" sticky threads for some tips and rules backgrounds and also easy posts. Then check out the tech sections, New Member FAQ and also the regular 2ndgen section to get an idea of what you're getting into. Finally, check out your regional board to see if any rolling chassis are out there awaiting your healing hands. whew.

Hey thanks for the warm welcome Mario. I will definitely continue researching and all.

As a matter of fact I was thinking of picking up one of the rx7's from that guy in rancho cucamonga who has 3 rolling chassis, specifically the GTU. But being that I'm unemployed. So I don't have much of an income from unemployment. I'm desperately have a few parts trying to get rid of to be able to have enough for it.

Ouch, def one steep hill to climb. Time to raid all the car parts you don't need and see if enough eBay action can get you within an earshot of your goal. Good luck, Frankie, you surely deserve that GTU.

Unfortunately, I can't sell the stuff on Ebay because somebody screwed me, so all I can resort to is Craigslist and the respective forums.

I think you mean an 85, FD are still somewhat a little expensive can't really afford one of those yet.
but I hope so too

YAY... Hopefully I will be picking up my new rx7 tomorrow. I'm excited its automatic though, but that's just a small speed bump

Were on the same boat in looking for a FC good luck with your project...But Im not looking for a shell no time and money.

Yeah, I thought about picking up a shell but figured I needed something running so I settled for an automatic. No biggy though because I'm thinking converting it to a manual shouldn't be to costly
