New Kid and new to the RX7, PLEASE HELP :)

Hi all, my name is Mathew. I am 20 years old and live near Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I have never owned a rotary car, but have always loved the idea of the rx7/rx8 platforms. I actually do not own the rx7 yet, though I have the opportunity to buy a 1988 RX7 Turbo II. I have been a huge motorcycle guy ever since I could legally own/ride one. I have always been a bit of a car guy as well, though I could not afford anything fun or exciting being so young. I just sold my SV650 and am definitely looking to get a fun car to replace it with! I love driving in general, and will only own a car if it has a manual transmission as automatics seem boring and sad, especially in a performance car. I have lots of opinions, and plenty of them are probably wrong. Baseball is my sport, and I am currently going to college to be a Nurse. I hope to purchase the car soon, and to possibly find some more who live around here on the forum! Also, if there is anyone in the Cedar Rapids area that would be willing to help me take a look at the car when I go to buy it, I would greatly appreciate it. Otherwise I will just have a mazda tech give it a once over.

(Edit: I just read the stuff about not posting tech questions in my intro, so I took all that crap out! Sorry lol)

Welcome to the Forum,Mathew!
In my experience with the TII,if you want to drive it and keep it..the only thing I can tell you is that you have to say to yourself is "enough is enough"!

I found that I just wanted MORE out of it..and my bank account said NO!

So my advice is stay within the realms of your finances and try not to go all Gaga with **** that you do not necessarily need... just Drive the car and enjoy it if you get it!
