New here, and my first RX-7!
Hi, I'm Wes- I'm going to be finalizing a deal today which will result in the purchase of my first FD3S RX-7! I was so excited that I haven't slept in 27 hours... Not healthy haha. This won't be the first rotary I've owned. My previous daily driver was an RX-8 so I'm familiar with the basic care and maintenance of a rotor motor, but I know the RX-7 is a whole different breed of car.
I'm looking at a 1994 FD3S with an amazingly low 50k original miles (I couldn't believe it when I saw the speedometer) the car is clean inside and out- I'll post some pictures ASAP.
What needs to be done so far-
1.) 5th gear synchro needs to be replaced
2.) Not sure if this is completely necessary yet but I would like to install a sequential BOV and wastegate
3.) Brakes need to be bled, the pedal is a little soft but stiffens up after you pump it once.
4.) Everything else seems to be in mechanical working order, but I need to take it to a dyno and get an engine compression test done just to see where everything is at...
I'm expecting to pay about $1,500-$2,000 for everything parts and labor for the things I can't do (I have 2 jackstands and the tools to take off the wheels to bleed the brakes but I would almost rather pay someone $80 to do it because it's so hot in my garage). Is that a good estimate or should I expect to pay more for this?
Thanks for any advice

The $2000 for the synchro seems right if they're doing other work inside the transmission while they're in there. See if they're doing any other synchros, bearings, and/or seals in there.
