I'm new here and I've decided to join this board as I found myself digging up lots of information. This is the most informative place I could find.

I've been driving around in a r33 gtst and after a stage 1 modification to the car I kept looking at videos of the rx7. A very sexy car that I have been wanting to drive for quite some time, but for some reason I was always kind of afraid of the engine. As i i started to learn more I decided to sell my r33 and I'm currently waiting for my rx7 as it is still in Japan.

It's a 1995 bathurst but the car has been resprayed. It has ran 100.000 km and it's fairly stock. As soon as it arrives over here it will get a compression test so I can find out about the state of the engine.

I was just curious about your opinion of what you think about the sound of the engine. As it seems that the exaust is leaking. What do you think?

 

I was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback in regards to the videos I've added. Whether you hear anything unusual or not. I've gathered all the information I can what to look for when you buy an rx7 but I'm just curious, as you guys have been driving an fd for much longer, and you know what it is supposed to sound like? I'll make sure to compression test the engine when it arrives.
