New guy old car
Pictured is my second 86 rx7 NA. First one was and absolute mess from PO this one is partially a mess from PO. I'll probably have a lot a questions that hopefully you guys can help me out with. I promise I've read all the pinned threads and all I can search but you'll probably see a post ab me asking for help with 3800rpm issues. Anyway hi.
p.s. I disassembled a Dorito 3 times(1st was first car, 2nd was this car and 3rd is mentioned below). When I first rebuilt it l, it burned oil like crazy and make huge clouds of smoke. Upon disassembly for the third time I saw absolutely nothing wrong so I threw it back together and now it doesn't smoke at all \__/. Now I've just got infinite gremlins and I'm on the edge of rewiring the whole car with custom ecu. Still don't know which one yet. I envy those with cars that weren't treated like crap

Welcome to the forum!! Looks like you have a decent car to start with. It may be advantageous to replace the entire harness with a known good harness if there have been multiple bad splices and you suspect damage to the wiring in terms of outside influence or corrosion. We can help you sort out any issues you may run across, so hang in there.
