New Guy from Nashville

I'm Ralph from Nashville and I am about to be the owner of a 1985 Mazda RX-7 with the 12A engine. I have a small understanding about rotaries, but not like normal piston engines. The car itself white smokes and will not idle below 1000 RPM. This is probably not the correct page to discuss this issue, but nonetheless, what could be the possible source of these problems?

I know that white exahust smoke while warming up is totally normal. Shouldnt see smoke at operating temps though. and as long as its not idling rough i wouldnt worry, you should be getting gauges... read what theyre telling you at idle (a/f ratio, oil pressure, exc.) and see how boost holds at WOT. If you got no problems and pulls fine, Id rather idle at 1k, more oil pressure
