New guy here...

Hey I own an 88 convertible, I bought it about a year or so ago off a guy who had it just sitting in his drive way for 2-3 years prior to that. I got it for cheap but it needed some tlc. Holes in the top led to rotting in the rear fenders and disgusting mold damage in the interior. The interior came out first, had to fiberglass a couple hole in the floor (on a budget), and with some cursing and swearing managed to fit coupe interior in which I painted black, some reclining "race" buckets and of course new shifter ****. Then i turned my attention to the exterior which is where I'm currently at, damn I hate rust good thing its not going to be show car. Anyway I love Rx7s and its great to finally own one (even if its kind of a POS. I have found some really good information on here so i decided to join. I live in Alberta Canada and I'm addicted to the smell of burnt rubber

So a friend of a friend hooked me up with borla cat back (freebies rock). Put that on plus a punched out cat and header I bought used for $80. Such a sweet sound difference. So as I was reving it up a bit I noticed the actuator for the 5th and 6th ports wasn't moving (The EGR tube is attached correctly), so i removed the snorkel to find that they were all covered with carbon build up. Half a can of intake cleaner later and everything was working correctly. So of course now that it sounded so purdy I had to take it for a rip. When i came back i found out i had a few oil leaks: (guess i should have anticipated that because it sat for so long) Tranny out put seal doh, and oil cool line (please please) or worst case cool.

On the plus side the engine runs great aside from a little bit of an exhaust pop during idle (rich pop maybe? is that normal not sure?). So i guess first on the list now is fixing my oil leaks, not really a big deal maybe just a little capital. My plan is to get this thing out on the track so any sign of a leak needs to be addressed. I guess I`ve babbled enough thanks for reading any thoughts/suggestions/insight/constructive critisism always welcome
