New guy here with 88 SE model

Hello guys, nice site.

I just purchased a 88 R-7 SE model 5 speed on 12-26. Picked up for $650 which seems reasonable in this area. I bought it in running shape, just needs some TLC that any 20 year old car would, along with a sunroof, front bumper, and drivers fender. I put a new headlight motor in, and rebuilt the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder today. I also replaced the plugs with new NGK's.

I have'nt been able to get the car started though since I got it home. I think it may be flooded? The plugs I pulled out were black with wet fuel. It cranks over real fast too and doesnt seem to catch. I checked for spark and I have it and I can smell gas.

The only thing I have left to try is to remove the trailing plugs tomorrow and crank? If anyone has any insight let me know. Once I get three post counts I can post my ? up in the 2nd gen section. Thanks.

PS. I am the US tech support rep for NGK, so if you have any plug questions let me know.
