Hello everyone! My name is John, I reside in the South GA area. Always enjoyed rear wheel drive foreign cars, especially the Rx7, 240sx etc. Just picked up a 1988 Mazda RX7 that didnt have a motor or tranny and am working on dropping a V8 in it for the 24 hours of Lemons. (Please, not trying to put down the rotary, its a sweet motor, when it works.) I know your not suppose to post "for sale" stuff here but anyways....

Looking forward to learning how to do a V8 swap for the first time, and am probably going to be needing a good bit of help from you all here! Thanks in advance!

 

Well, since it's going to get all beat up for the race, I reckon a nasty ol' V8 swap wouldn't be totally out of line.

Haha nononono!! It will have lovely fine racing lines! (or at least thats the idea...) I will be sure NOT to beat the car up! (Just dont look under the hood...) As you can see from the pictures I have a ton of work to do and while my college classes must not suffer from this I will be working on this as much as possible.

Violated? No, I beg to differ you see, it is good of me not to trash a rare rotary in one of these races. I am doing a favor for the rotary fans!

Thats cool man. But if you didnt know MAZDA is the only car to win an entire LEMONS series Bro, and has won more races in its class then ANY OTHER CAR...........ROTARY im just saying. But good luck to you and God Bless!
