New guy from Florida
Hi everyone, the name's Chris and I'm just hangin' out here in good ol' Florida. I guess I'll start off by saying thanks to my dad I've been exposed to auto-culture ever since I was a wee lad, like many others here, going to car shows and whatnot. Throughout the years I've explored around the makes and models of history and have built myself a little bucket-list of cars I want to own and really get to appreciate before before they're gone...or I'm gone! So, I've been so fortunate to strike one from the list when I bought my 1980 RX-7 just this past week. Hope to be seeing ya'll in the 1st gen. threads soon, and remember to keep 'em spinning.
So here's a little bit of what I know about my new baby:
She's from 1980, with a '85 13B transplant. Engine has been streetported, super-sealed, Holley carbed and topped off with a Moroso air cleaner. She's got RB headers and a straight pipe all the way back with what seems to be a very fat glass-pack to tame and tune the sound a bit. The rest of the car is pretty much stock from what I can tell. Even has the original spare tire! The car has been resprayed, but I'm not too sure if it was with the stock color.
That's it for now! Just wanted to give y'all a little taste of what I've gotten myself into. If you can think of anything else you want to know, let me hear it and I'll get back with more details.
