Hey!
Brand new here so lets get going. I was looking for a car for my daughter when a friend said he had an old RX7 sitting in his garage. "It ran 3 years ago when it went in but hasn't run since." He trailered it to my drive way and left it with the title under the seat. The price was right and I rolled up my sleeves. I grew up working on Chevy small blocks and straight 6's, so I'm comfortable in the garage plus my brother teaches at a tech school in Alabama. So after a week of tinkering and fiddling it sprang to life. However I'm finding it very difficult to find parts. Its a metallic blue 1981 RX7. Sunroof, PW and the 12a motor. I've been chasing PW problems (motor bad on drivers door, switch bad on passengers) and have been stymied with the gas tank. Was told that the inside was badly rusted, repair place said not to flush and seal - just get a new tank, and have been trying to find a replacement tank but no luck. I would really appriciate any and all suggestions, comments, hints, tips, tricks and help! Thanks!
