New guy

Hey everyone,

I just purchased an 88 RX7 Convertible. It is great condition - rebuilt engine with only 9,000 miles on it. Brand mew New exhaust, fuel injectors, clutch, clutch slave.

I'll need to re-upholster the front seats and install a radio head unit. That's about it.

I'm looking to get the most of this car, but I know nothing about RX7's. I've had and modded out GTI, CC, TSI, focus ST, etc. Never a rotary engine though

So I am open to any and all suggestions to get the most horsepower and bang for my buck! Really want to add a turbo, but have read that can be difficult...i have found kits online as cheap as $700...but I feel like those might be crap given the price? I also read it may be easier to just swap to a TII motor.

So any suggestions you guys have would be most welcome to increase power...thanks!

If you think 700 is "too good to be true" then YES it is.,.
there is no kit per say for a Rotary engine..no REAL kit..it is usually parts that work well together. Then you need the Engine management and fuel taken care of as well.It all adds up.
So 700 is chicken feed compared to what the cost will actually be.

BUT if you ask this in the TECHNICAL SECTION you will get more info as this section is strictly a Meet and greet Section..so HI..How ya doin???.....and good luck on your journey.
