My name is Nick Walls II, and I still have my first car that I bought in '98. It's an 85 RX7 12a. It hasn't been registered in 10 years but I've tinkered with it off and on to keep it alive. I street ported it back in 2000. Built a draw through turbo setup with a Mistu 14b turbo about 4 years ago for it. Made 222 rwhp on 7 psi, 10* timing and 92 octane. It's fun and original. I recently gave it to one of my closest friends who is an power and performance instructor at wyotech in blairsville pa. He's going to have some students restore the body up to make it look presentable again. They actually do really really nice work. Who cares if it take 2 years and a lot of pizza and beer. haha

I came to the site for information and to view classifieds. I'd like to buy another rex someday soon.

I've never been to a rotary event but I'd love to visit one. Since the rex was my first car, I'll always have a place in my hear for the wankel!

The first mod I did to my rex back in '98 was cut apart the stock air filter box to open up the air filter element completely. Making power!!! lol

I joined last night on my iPhone around 4 AM because my fajitas would not allow me to sleep. LOL nice intro thread! Thats neat and cool that you did that with the car and for the young kids for learning. Good luck in getting the next rex and all the info you can get.
