NY New guy!

Hey guys! New to the forum, haven't bought my rotary yet. However, I'm looking into buying an FD shell from a guy near me. apparently its in good shape, new yellow paint, no rust, interior is spotless, leather looks good, lower miles, all that good stuff. selling it as a complete roller with a harness and ECU. Just needs a motor and transmission. So, if I end up with this shell, I'll be posting a lot in the FS/WTB section for either a good running USDM 13B-REW and transmission or a whole JDM swap. then it will be in technical for all the rotary gurus to help me out with getting it running as its my first rotary experience

Looking forward to chatting with you all and making some friends/ connections in the rotary world.

Good luck , I can tell you the closer you keep it to stock the less chance you'll have of running into any problems.

If money is no object upgrading the clutch and flywheel would be easier to do before its installed as well as upgrading the engine and transmission mounts.

was actually going to keep it as stock as possible with the addition of a stage 2 clutch, lightweight flywheel, gonna see if a friend of mine would be willing to make me some solid aluminum mounts, and i was going to look for a poly trans mount. then once it runs and drives "reliably" save, and completely redo the suspension, fully adjustable EVERYTHING. performance wise though, its all gonna be bolt ons. exhaust, intake, better plugs/wires, maybe get bigger injectors and bump the boost up a bit. but that will all be in time.
