new to the Group
I just joined the group, I've had my RX-7 for 37 years. Love this car, I'm going to let go of it this summer, and I want to move it on to an RX-7 person who will appreciate it. I'm hoping this group will help me find that individual.
I bought the car in early May of 1987, in California, I had a great Mechanic there who only worked on RX-7s, and he also raced them. Now in Lake Placid I take it off the road at the first hint of snow and stays there until the salt has been cleaned off the roads. It's a short season here. The car has been very well cared for, it's just time. The car has been garaged . It gets great milage , it's suppose to get 17 in the city and 22 on the highway , Ive always gotten better then 22 in town and 27 on the highway. I redid the seats prior to my move to the east coast and they look like new. The engine is pretty clean. I uploaded a photo we will see if it shows up. Photo didn't upload, however it is red with grey interior . The Milage is 135,855

Welcome to the forum! The car sounds very nice! I would love to see pictures of it if you are able to get them uploaded. Feel free to shoot me a message if you are having trouble getting the pictures to load.
This looks very nice so far. Is that a factory aero kit? If it is, that might explain the better gas milage. The factory kit reduces air drag on the car. It is isn't a trivial amount either, from what I have read.

Hi Jeff. honestly I don't remember, I had decided I wanted a manual red Rx 7 and i remember my first drive in it, and that sticks in my mind every time i drive the car, I love the way it handles in the curves. I read what I could find on the package and it could be. At any rate that milage was quite ahead of it's time.
That's a beautiful RX-7! It appears to be an 86 Sport model given the aero pieces and the GXL style wheels. A very nice car indeed! This is a good place to sell your car, but you'll have to be patient here.
Thank you, You are right regarding it being the 86 Sport model. I thought it might be a good place as it certainly is a knowledgeable group who are into the RX7. I too note of the need to be patient and I am curious regarding that and could use insight.
I get that, as the car started in California and I shipped it here. It was better on the coast or at least in a more temperate climate with less snow. If you know anyone who would be interested I'd appreciate you passing it on.
It is too me! even now when I'm decided to sell it, I take a short drive and say to myself, maybe not... LOL Truth is it needs to be driven more then I drive it. I tend to jump into my CX5
