New to forum, years with my 85 GS!
Hey guys, new to the forum although I've been reading through for months this is the first post. I've got a blue 85 GS in Houston that I've spent years and way too much money on. Too bad I didn't read through here back then...
Oh well, no good pics right now she's all torn apart anyway. Current setup looks stock with the engine cleaned up and some bolt ons:
- stock 12a, racing beat holley carb, intake manifold, headers, dual exhaust, dual pulley setup, custom aluminum intake
- stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel
- everything the from engine bay that's not needed removed
- some small things like electric fan, performance plug wires, new speakers all round, cd player in glovebox (to keep stock interior look), clear headlights w/H4 bulbs rewired through relays
In process as we speak (thanks for all the info already posted here helping me set this up!):
- 350# front springs w/coil overs
- 175# rear springs w/coil overs
- lowered 1-1.5 inches
- illuminas front and rear
- 1 1/8 front sway bar
- new bushing everywhere front and rear
- powder coating sway bars, control arms, strut rods, calipers, strut canister, everything removable in engine bay, etc
I'm guessing she'll handle a little better now!
If anyone else is in Houston let me know, I've seen a few driving around!
