TX New to forum and rotary engines

Whats up you guys. Names Michael. First time rotary owner and willing to get to know all that I can.
Got me a 86 model rx7, NA by the way. Anyway, I really don't know much about these cars but I can tell ya.. I am willing to learn. I bought the Haynes repair manual and have basicly read through that but unfortunately those can be alittle to vague sometimes. Anyway, there are a few problems with the car and I'll like to ask you guys your advice. First off, it keeps shooting coolant to the overflow tank. I've replaced the radiator cap and have checked the hoses but they seem fine. I was told that it might be the thermostat which I have one coming in the mail any freakin day now. I saw on here where it stated to start your car with the cap off and if the coolant is gushing out then it is probably the O-Ring... which is fairly bad. Well I did that and it doesn't gush out so I'm hoping the o-ring is not the problem. Secondly, The windshield wipers only work on one speed... and not the slowest speed either, the second to slowest speed. I was thinking that maybe it could be the switch, I've got one of those coming also, but I could be wrong. Also when I let off the gas, and I mean right when I let off the gas, there seems to be a bump which sounds like it is coming from the back end of the car. I am not completely sure what that is but I'm trying to figure out. And lastly.... I think, it has a hard time trying to start for the first time in the morning. I looked around and read up on the AWS and come to the conclusion that the AWS is not really something that is needed so I can deal with that but it just doesn't start that quickly which I'm thinking could either be the fuel pump or fuel filter. Like I've said before, I really don't know my way around the rotary that good so any suggestions or advice would be helpful.

diff??

Hey I have the same problem when I let of the gas. I looked underneath the car to see if I could see what was going on and I noticed my differential mount was completely destroyed. It might be your problem. As far as the Haynes manual...I hate them with passion. Use the factory manual. I found it here in the forums. Here's a link http://www.teamfc3s.org/main/factory...ual/1989_1991/
hope it helps

It could also be the u-joint on the driveshaft making the bump...I'd check for play when you get a chance.
