New to the Forum, but longtime R1 owner...
Hi all. I have a black '93 R1 that I bought in July 1995. I've only lightly modified it:
downpipe, cat back, radiator, aluminum AST, cold-air intake, slotted rotors. Now looking to do suspension system--it's the complete stock suspension evrything that is 18 yrs old with 148000 miles on it! I guess I need to replace EVERYTHING right?

Not quite everything but definitely a lot of the wear parts - coolant hoses, coolant hose clamps, oil, coolant.
On the suspension, some of the bushings are probably tired. If the rear suspension is making clunking noises you are looking for what people on here call "pillowballs". Get some new shocks and upper shock mounts since they are worn by now. Check the ball joints and tie rod ends and check if you are getting odd crackling noises from the front end. That is what I did on my car with 145k miles. Also replaced sway bar end links and such.
Best place for OEM replacement parts is Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda. He owns an FD and gives us discounts. 888-533-3400.
Don't forget about Pettit Racing in FL also.

I don't get on here much, but I just saw the requirement/request for a real name. My name is Wayne.
BTW -- I'm still hoping someone will answer my wheel fitment question.
