New to the forum-beginner

Hey Guys,

About a year ago I brought my dad's old 85 Rx-7 FB from my moms house. He passed in December of 2001 and the last time the car was on the road was sometime early 2002. I am an absolute beginner when it comes to cars but for the past year me and a couple of buddies (who know way more than me) have been slowly getting this thing ready for the road again. We are really close and I'm pumped about getting behind the driver's seat. I was only 13 when he passed so I've never driven it, a lot of fond memories in that car though.

Here she is. My dad took really good care of his stuff and fortunately it was kept indoors all those years. I do believe he had it painted sometime in the late 90's. Not perfect, but she's held up pretty well.

I started a thread in the beginner tech section related to a no-crank condition we are currently dealing with. I think the problem may be related to a fusible link.
https://www.rx7club.com/new-member-r...nking-1141485/ any advice there would be greatly appreciated

Not the greatest quality pics and the one from the engine bay is a bit old. I've cleaned it up a bit since then.

We were testing the fuel pump - hence the coffee can

Honestly for the age, the car is in excellent shape overall. The interior is very nice and that engine bay will clean up nicely!

Your Dad left you a fine inheritance. My advice is to preserve it. If I were you, in his memory, I wouldn't chop it up and turn it into a track car. Good fortune.
