Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to drop in to say hi and introduce myself. I have been a proud owner of an RX8 for the past two years and want to expand my journey with the rotary engine. I plan on purchasing an FC RX7 within the next 6 months or so as a project car and thought it would be a good idea to start reading up on them here first. On top of that, I was just able to get my hands on an old 13b engine for $100 and figured I would strip this down and try to rebuild it, mainly to learn more about the engine (see pics below). My plans are to hopefully try to bridge port it, drop it in the 7 and eventually track it, but I'll just have to see what the condition of the rotors and housings are first. Anyways, Ill probably be asking some questions throughout the build process on the forum so you will probably see me around from time to time. I need to figure out whether or not my engine is from an S4 or S5 before going much further so I'll probably go search for that first.
