My name is Peter. I have had 3 rx7 first gens in my past.
1979 5 speed. 1981 auto (I think) and 1984 auto.
Lots of fun times and adventures.
Got 480xxx km in my first one. I know you say "crazy fool" but i did. Used Moly slip regularly when it was $6 per can . I was around 20.... that was 35 years ago.
280xxx on my 2nd and 230xxx on my third rx7.

So, now my son bought his first car, an 86 rx7. Nice shape physically with slightly beat up, miss-matched interior pieces and some rust underneath but we are working on those items.

Engine was (we are told) replaced which is good as the chassis has 330xxx km on it.

Trying to post but having some trouble. Changed the fuel lines and have one dangling wire with no home. It is yellow with red strip and red bands going into the connector and black coming out. If I ground it, my oil pressure gauge climbs up but the oil pressure gauge is otherwise connected and working. It is a mystery. I will try to post this in the normal area but any help would be appreciated.

More about me: My other car is an Alfa Romeo 164. Oddly enough, it also has an unexplained dangling wire under the engine.

Daily driver is a Hyundai Santa Fe.
