New to the fd world

Hi👋. My name is Bryan and I Recently got a 94 rx7 and look forward to learning to modding this car. It’s mostly stock but has a few things upgraded like silicon vacuum lines and aluminum ats. I’m Looking to get radiator for it first and get a exhaust.

Welcome to the forum!! Absolutely beautiful FD!! It looks so nice and appears to have been well cared for! Do you know any of the car's history?

yeah my brother bought it from a guy in Wisconsin about 6 years ago and the past owner had the engine rebuilt about 5k miles ago and had all the paperwork to back it up. Ever since then the car basically was stored and never used. Sat for 3 years in my parents shed and once I got a hold of it I changed out plugs and all the fluids and started right up with no issues. Unfortunately some mice made the interior a home and I had to strip all the fabric under the interior and carpet to try to get rid of the mice smell.

If the P.O. did the AST, I wonder if it has a downpipe? That's usually next on the list. I think I see some adjustable shocks too.

Congrats on the new 7, and welcome to the club!

I’ll check to confirm. Never thought to look at the down pipe just assumed it was stock 😅 and it dose have adjustable shocks but need to be replaced so might go with coils soon

took the lower engine shield off and found out it already has a radiator put in and definitely has a down pipe already! Did a coolant flush and coolant looked a little rusty looking. Probably from sitting for so long. Looks like the past owner used zerex coolant so I’m going to put the same back in. Also do most guys run without a lower engine shield? Figured these cars need as much cooling as possible

Heh that rips that he took care of the radiator too.

Keep the ducting/skid plate/undertray/ whatever the hell it's called shield. Believe it or not your FD runs cooler with it. It forces air through the radiator instead of around or under it. Same goes for the intercooler and oil cooler{s}.
