New FD owner

Hi everyone!

I am now the proud owner of a 2001 white FD type R Barthurst Japanese import, being delivered tomorrow from the land of the rising sun and cannot wait to take delivery! Haven't used an owners forum since I owned a Fiat Punto GT turbo many years ago but looking forward to becoming part of the rotary community and using the forum. Anyway, thought I'd say hi!

Kind regards

Olly

Thanks. Wheels are coming off as soon as she gets here, can't quite afford te37's just yet so rota drifts in matte bronze going on. Clifford alarm being fitted also before collection. Full rebuild in the near future. Then she'll sit pretty much stock for a while. Long term...Going to tidy up the interior, replace the gaiters and worn plastic bits, fit some gauges, nardi steering wheel and red recaros all before the apexi fc install along with upgraded intercooler, radiator, airfilters, downpipe/mid pipe and a good map to release a few more horses. I'm not sure if the late models need the rats nest sorting out or whether it was sorted at the factory after the facelift? Any advice welcome

Since your gonna keep it stock for a bit I would look at doing all the "longevity mods." Some people have different takes on the order but the AST tank is a must. Also the battery relocation and depending on where you live the radiator fan switch mod. There are a couple others but since I live in NM its always hot here so I am making sure I do the AST tank and fan switch mod while my engine is out.

Lastly the TE37 in a Bronze/Gold with the white... can't help but drool a little.

I live in the U.K. so it's rarely hot here haha but yeah I'll be swapping out the ast tank as I've heard they crack from engine temps. Thanks for the advice. I was unsure about the bronze on white at first but now am in love with it!
