Hello guy/gals

I am originally from CA but moved to the Midwest not that long ago. I just purchase a 94 FD RX7 from CA recently when I went back to visit and love it. I am not new to modifying cars. I use to own a completely stock s13 then i built the KA24DE with lots of suspension work done (built not bought) and use to own a 94 supra auto with a PTE 6466 (LOVE Beating Z06 lol). I have decided to go with a FD because I wanted to stand out of the crowd and not fit in with the rest of them (EVO, STI..etc) and I made the right choice. I live in Wisconsin and am aware of how little the rx7 community is here. I will truly to make it for street legal drags in Kaukauna since it's only 20mins from me. I am looking for the best shops around here to deal with rotary engines. I have been to Beyond redline but feel they charge way too much for work. I am not new to forums so I know the *search button* is a first thing before questions lol. Sorry for making this so long. Anything you guys/gals want to know about me, feel free to ask. Thanks

 

Sup dude. I'm from Jersey about to move to CA, fashion valley SD. I lost my 2005 M5 recently and I'm currently on the market for a FD with a 2JZ. I know nothing about modded cars.

How are laws in CA with moded cars? I want to make sure I'm going to be able to register my car when I move to CA. Will they do emissions on smog again¥

 

Wassup bro, CA is very strict about modified cars. When you first register your car they will need you to smog it and get inspected by the DMV. If it doesn't pass smog then you have (I think) 30 days to fix it to pass smog. After it pass and registered, smog will be once every 2 years. Police will do random smog checks on the streets like DUI checks but that depends on where you live. And if you fail the random smog check, you'll have to get it fix and checked again. Gun laws sucks too. This was one reason why I moved out if CA. Other than that, the weather is nice. 90% summer and 10% rain lol

 

Pretty bad when you get pulled over and given a ticket for your car but your Gun is OK..lol!

 

You can't even have a nice dark window tint in CA. Cops will pull you over for that and make you take them off.

Sure did. I was going to buy a evo til I kept on seeing evos everywhere so that kinda annoyed me lol
