I bought a very nice '81 GSL with a good pedigree of ownership, and I'm the fourth owner. At acquisition, it had 64,227, with only 10, 000 miles since' 91. I put 1,700 miles on it in 3 weeks. Lots of fun factor with these rotaries.
My son bought his one-owner '81 S two days prior. I think he's on this forum somewhere.

Body looks really good for a first gen. Gotta take the car out to pittsburgh international race complex in the summer. Shouldn't be to far of a drive.

Mine is 99.99% rust-free. My son's has some minor rust issues that we'll be addressing when his spring semester at college is done. Both are running great.
Racetrack? No. Spirited driving on serpentine country roads? Absolutely!

I first got a glimpse of these cars back when the old man (father) raced SCCA in the late 1990's. Believe they ran in ITA class when I first saw them. haha serpentine roads are just like a track
