new FB

New to the rex scene-I was just given an 82 RX-7 by my godfather. He purchased it brand new and still has every piece of paper that came with the car along with all service records. I previously owned a 97 civic dx with DOHC coversion. This car was my driver but I also placed in several shows with it as i carefully chose every modifcation($13000 worth). I love the RX with the near perfect weight distribution and the shear fun it is to drive. I am considering modifiying this car but really am not sure if it will be better off left alone. It sat for over 2 years before I came along. I put a battery in and 3 drops of tranny fluid down the carb, aired the tires and she fired right up My wife even enjoys driving it. This club site seems to have more info that will help should I deceide to do anything than any of the other sites I have seen this far. P.S. I can't find oringinal replacement parts !?!

OEM replacement parts are still out there, you just have to have a high powered Mazda dealership that has the connections. Just last year, I picked up the interior plastic cups for the door panels and bought spares in case the JDM source ever dries up. You just have to spend some time at the parts counter.

Welcome aboard! It's always good to see another 1stgen person join the club!

Well now, that doesn't exactly fall under an introduction, so crank up a new thread in the classifieds or just read what is being offered in the 1stgen classifieds and you'll find what you need.
