My name's Lance, and I just picked up an 84 gsl-se. My first rotary experience, and my first real car project, as I'm 15 and in high school. Main projects should be clutch and brake hydraulics and the whole Fuel Injection setup, which was removed by the last guy who wanted to go carburetor...

lol...dang, lance, it really sounds like you need to find a guru in the area who wants to hang around and tinker on that car. Congrats on the find and I would highly advise patience while you sort through that car. First generation anything is going to be problematic and the Mazda doghouse for 1984 was the first year the RX-7 went fuel injection.
