Hey what's up everyone?
My Name is Jason.I am a New Guy here from the Chicago/San Diego area.. I have been a car painter/body man for a long time but recently have been using my savings to travel the country. Mid life crisis??? maybe... but not working and having fun has been the best year of my life. Now headed back to San Diego in a few weeks to get back into the real world.

I am brand new to the rx-7 scene other than the fact that I have painted a couple... Stoked to learn about rotaries and all the fun that goes with them haha

I am actually not currently in posession of my fc3c yet, but am pickin it up in less than a week. I actually scored what I think is a pretty good deal on a trade.

I put my s13 hatch up on Craigslist as a feeler thread for a trade. Was looking at trading for an FC coupe or a Miata. Not even 4 hours after I posted I was getting offers from every single Honda drivin 16 year old in Chicago lol But seeing as I've owned my 240 for 10 years and have been sliding around with it for about 7, I simply couldn't make the switch back to FWD. After about a day and a half of dealing with terrible offers I was going to say "to hell with it" and just keep my s13 and continue having fun in it. I mean I didnt need to get rid of it anyhow, I was just simply looking for something new to play around in. As luck would have it I was about to pull the trigger and delete the post when I got a text from a guy over in Indiana that was in the same place in life as I am. Just lookin for a new chassis to play with. He offered me the vert as a straight trade. My s13 has coilovers/wheels/full exhaust/intake...etc. and the typical midwest 240 rust and what have you. Nothing major at all, just frame rails really... anyways, and this guy has a super clean vert with the only problem being a tear in the top. All brand new suspension components, no rust, and from the video he sent me an incredibly sound vehicle all around. I was feelin pretty bad about wanting to do a straight trade for such a nice car when mine has been drifted and romped on for so long, but the guy was just so stoked to finally have a chance to swap over to a new chassis for free so he said that he didnt mind one bit. Awesome! So after exchanging info/details on the cars/pics and just general bs'ing back and forth for a while we decided to lock in the trade.

SO (sorry for my long winded post... lol I'm a chatty guy when I'm excited) I'll be meeting him in a couple days to take posession of my new project. I am super eager to get into a rotary. Eager to learn the way the car handles on the track. Eager to meet new people in a new scene. Glad to be here folks!!!

I would post up some pics of my s13 but I am in Illinois at the moment and my computer is back home in San Diego... :/

Thanks! I'll be uploading a few tonight. Just picked it up! Stoked for sure. It's definitely a completely different experience from my s13... Gonna take some getting used to.

Took it by my rotary guy today and he says she is doing great and purrs like a kitten.

It has a Racing Beat exhaust, S5 taillights, all new fresh front OEM suspension bits, tII diff and toe elimination.

Needs the soft top replaced and I dont like how sloppy the stock shifter feels... but that should be all I need for the time being. Plans are to rock the n/a til it ***** the bed and then do a turbo II swap. Full GP sports kit, coilovers, wheels, and a turbo II hood... Like i said as well I paint cars so I am tossing around color ideas. I am kinda feelin the black though... Thinking maybe keep it black with some nice low offset gunmetal wheels. And I would like to get maybe a sport wing or something along those lines... something low key but nice. Either way I'm just excited to learn a new chassis. Need to toss my bucket seats in there too once I get some rails.


Also I know this isnt the classifieds section, and i'm in no hurry to get rid of em, but I got that bra and some s4 tails I would like to sell if anyone is interested. Thanks!
