New from CA

Hey everyone I'm Phil. Been a lurker for awhile and finally moved on an FD as of yesterday. Been trying to win some of the auctions on BAT, but haven't been successful. Ended up finding this beauty up in Seattle. I sign the papers on Wednesday when I fly up to test drive it. Waiting for them to send me the compression results. I hope I'm not in for a rebuild but numbers and the test drive tests will give me an idea. From as much research as I could do, this car seems pretty decent shape. Still trying to learn as much as possible. Anybody by chance know if this might have been an owner on here or other forums.

Can't wait to build this car and learn a lot from everyone here. I'm also an avid Mazda guy. Currently have a 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 and 99 NB1 Miata. This will be my 13th Mazda that I've owned I believe but first rotary.

Looks like a very nice car!! The shifter seems oddly tall though. Maybe it's just the picture... either way, best of luck with this FD and keep us updated on how everything turns out!!!

Perhaps an aftermarket shifter was installed and it's meant to be taller. That would be the only explanation. The original shifter is pretty stubby.

I love the red interior! Hopefully it checks out and you can bring her home.
