hi i use to have a non turbo fc but im now tinking of going back to a fc wouldnt mind a fd but fould a fairly good clean fc turbo 89 model with engine rebuild and clean bodywork

first few things after the car is bought im going to have it all looked at by a specalist then its into my workshop (at work) to have the suspention exhaust taken down and have it all cleaned and undersealed (labour is nothing and parts a cheap so all is good)

ok once that is done im looking a doing some bacic tuning and i could do with some advice, i havent had a turbo rx7 but i have worked and owned mr2 1994+ turbo cars and worked for a tuning company so i do understand tuning.

the few things im looking at doing but need advice
ecu is it worth replacing with piggy or stand alone or is the stock remapable and up to most jobs? e.g. (toyota locked alfa easy to remap and capable)

turbo im wanting to go for about 250bhp so dont want anything to big but want a new ball bearing turbo would something like a gt28r be good enough or do i need to go bigger like the gt30876r?

also manifold is a stock one good for most bhp? (mr2 good for 600bhp) or will it need replacing?

also injectors what can they cope with or what size is worth going for ? fd's?

intercooler will be front mount

and also last but not least what can the sock engines cope with bhp wise and boost psi wise?

sorry couldnt really find much info on tuning.

my budget for the tuning is £2800 after the tidying up of the car and the service. the car will be serviced and colder plugs used ect ect also the car has full decat and cat back 3" exhaust and aif filter.
