New on the board from the STL area
Fist off, let me start out with the fact that I am new to the board, but not that new to rotaries. Heres the background on me. I did my first engine swap at 17 in 1999, it was an sr20det. Back then, the support for the motor was nowhere near what it is today, so I did the wiring and swap with little support. Fast forward about 2 years and I had a job opportunity present itself to me. I had the chance to work for what I thought was an up and coming respectable shop around here. Well that turned out to be a total disaster, and the owners stole from me, screwed a bunch of members on here, and one day I came to work and the shop was closed. I dont have hard feelings, as I am doing well today, but it was an experience thats for sure. It also gave the chance to work on quite a few rotaries, and I actually began to become mildly descent with them. Ive worked on ryan scotts blue turbo II and rxtuner featured mike brandts car with the af61r. I did most of the the install and wrench work on that car acually, while the owners sat on there asses in the office. I moved to North Carolina and did rotary side work for a very well respected shop in that area, and got much better and learned quite a bit while I was there for 2 years. Ive had my hands on about 40 rx so far, rebuilt quite a few(mostly fd3s) and did the port work on six and they ran great I live in affton now and am a union crane truck operator. So I hope to get back into the game the beginning of next year after I port my shortblock and get a rolling chassis that is up to my standards.........
