New to being a Rx-7 Owner

hi, my name is Corey and I am a new owner of a 82 Mazda RX-7…. The car was passed down to me from a friend that recently passed away, and I am so happy that I am able to own this car and try to get it restored and back on the road for the memory of my friend. Only thing I need is a fuel tank for it because the one that’s on it now is rusted out. Please if anyone has one that is willing to sell let me know send me a message and hopefully we’ll make this car a full montage of the rotary legend

I am sorry to know of your loss. If this car has been sitting, just replacing the tank or having it fixed is just the beginning. I understand that that getting this car running will be to honor your friend, that's pretty awesome. There are some threads here that detail the steps needed to get a 7 running after sitting. Give it some time and do some reading. Also, there are plenty of talented people here that can help. It may not be the answer that you want to hear however, it is the best advice that I can offer.

There are other people that will be able to provide some guidance if you are patient and do some studying.

The factory service manual is here: http://Foxed.ca

Welcome to the forum Corey. I'm saddened to hear of the loss of your friend. Glad to hear you are restoring his RX-7 and just know there are parts out there. You will want to post a want to buy ad in the marketplace section here on the forum and hit up the RX-7 Facebook group pages. I saw a clean early tank listed for sale a few days ago on one of the group pages.
