Thanks Mario.

I am Simon, in Canberra, Australia.

My first two cars, about 20 years ago, were 13B RX3 Coupes, one a bridgeport with a 40mm Weber, the other a mildport with Microtech fuel injection.

Was about to buy another RX3 Coupe when a friend talked me into buying an FD RX7 instead, due to them being much more modern, better handling, AC, etc.

So was then going to buy a modded FD, but decided to go with a Spirit R or RZ instead as a base to start with, and then mod it a little later on.

Found a few Spirit R's and RZ's to choose from, on Aussie car sales websites and through FD forums, ended up with this one.

Cosmetically a little rough around the edges, but can be fixed up to perfection with a little money.

Took it over the rego department pits a couple of days ago, failed due to the exhaust being too loud, and the DVD player not preventing DVD playback when the hand brake is disengaged.

The seller in Melbourne is sending up the stock cat back, so I'll mount that and hopefully it will quieten it down enough to pass the rego noise test.

Yowza...."DVD player not preventing DVD playback when the hand brake is disengaged."

And here I had this perception that the Aussie's were more laid back! I reckon car ****'s can be found anywhere. Love the signage.
