New from AK

Hey you guys/gals. My name is Mark. As the title says I'm from Alaska. I currently do not own a RX-7. I currently own a 1987 Pontiac Fiero SE and a 2009 Mazda 3 GT. Both are a 5-speed Manny. I'm new to the rotary scene, so I will have a lot of questions for you guys.

And to start off, I have found a 1988 RX-7. It is a 5-speed manny, and it currently have 90,000 miles on it. I have called the owner, he said it's the "base model" RX-7, and it is not a convertible. I am currently waiting on the VIN, so I can check it out. The only modifications on it are a CAI and a Front sway bar. He's selling the car for 3200$. He says that he is flexible on the price. BTW here is the link.

I plan on checking the car out later once I have the VIN. Is there anything thing in-particular that I should look for/at when I take a look at it? Is the price that he is asking for a good deal?

Thanks every-one for their input.

Wow seasonal tags? Sounds awesome.

Personally I think the price is pretty steep for an 88 base. If it was an 89 or newer MAYBE it is worth it. Depending on the condition of the car I wouldn't go any more than 2000-2500.

Welcome!

I agree. It would have to be in pretty good shape for that price, which it kind of sounds like it is...

Post some pics if possible, always enjoy looking at a gem.
