I just picked up a 1986 RX7 for a song, it had been the mans son who drove it to college, it has 7500 miles on a re-built engine (I have the receipts) but the last time it was inspected was 2000 (I am in VA). He garage kept it and drove it up until about a year ago every week around the neighborhood, let it warm up and ilde for about a hlaf an hour too. I need to replace the fuel pump and i will probably take out all of the gas from the tank, clean it and throw a fresh batch in. Should I watch out for anything or do anything after start up for a car that hasn't run in about a year? I am a very cautious driver and don't speed but I wanted to know of any break in procedures that I should do so I don't hurt the engine. We have allready started it up for a little bit with starter fluid so I know it runs, I just don't have any gas to feed it.
