New 1985 RX7 GS owner

Hi all. My name is Mat. I have been reading tech threads on this forum for a couple weeks now after buying my RX7 and I decided to actually join. Seems like a great forum with lots of good support.

My car: 1985 RX7 GS. All stock with Nikki carb and emissions rats nest fully intact. 37,000 miles on the car. I am the second owner!

Plans for the car: take care of her! Eventually I am interested in possibly going with the racing beat Holley intake set up and header/open exhaust. But for now I am going to try to figure out how to get the Nikki to behave perfectly.

I already have a question I want to post up to the technical section but I am going to diligently try to search first so as not to get flamed

Hoping I did the picture function correctly... Here goes nothin'!

Stick with the Nikki. Lotta hate towards Holley on this forum. Holley's can't corner for the most part due to their orientation on the car.

Welcome.

welcome mat. nice looking fb u got there.

yes, the holley carb tends to stumble on hard left handers. since i dont autocross/track my 7, i'm perfectly happy with my holley. even more so since solving the off idle cruise problem.
