Hello! I recently picked up '79 RX7 Limited. The odometer shows 56,000 miles and the condition gives me no reason to believe it has rolled over. It needs some love on the exterior as there are a few bits and pieces needing attention. The PO couldn't say, but I believe it has been ported, has an exhaust, and aftermarket carb.

This is is my 2nd RX7. The other is a 1985 GSL that I sold to my dad. I've owned 2 RX8s and a bunch of other cars over the years. Primary purpose for this car will be Weekend cruises and a 4,000 mile road trip next summer. Only question is to leave it as a restomod or return it to original condition.

 

That's a beautiful Limited! Personally, I would return the car to stock other than a Racing Beat exhaust. A stock exhaust would be preferred but finding one in nice shape would be very difficult. This is what I did with my 80 Leather Sport. Its all original other than the RB exhaust. In the long run the car will be worth more in original condition and a RB exhaust is an acceptable performance mod that will not hinder the value. Now, if it were not such a rare car I would leave the performance mods in place. Do you know any history on the car?
