Nebraska FB

Hey there I tried posting an introduction on the forums about a week ago but it never got accepted I guess ... so here goes another try.

My name is Bill, I just picked up an 83 FB from a fellow rx7club member. Its just about ready to fire up

Will post a build thread when I can.

I'm thinking the other one got derailed because it was all about the car when this particular board is called Introduce yourself for a reason.

You hit enough bullet points to squeeze this one by but it still isn't really introducing you, explaining why you've decided to roll the rotary dice or even a little story on how you got the '83. See what I mean?

In any case, thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club! Thanks also for saving another 1stgen from the crusher - I personally think the '83 cars are the best of the FB's.

Thanks Mar3, got the rx7 running today but need to trouble shoot a few things before I can drive it without worry. I'm going to add some more info now sense I figured my info would be in my build thread.

I acquired my 83 rx7 from a fellow rx7club member, (don't know his username) for $600 dollars. The body has very little rust but is a project due to some issues need assessed before its up to snuff. Its got a racing beat header and presilancer on it and just a few small dents that will need fixed. My future plans are going to be to paint it gloss black with a blue and black painted interior and a graphic wrapped hood, install lowering springs, bigger tires and a Turbo setup.

Hope to get as much done on it as possible before the end of next year.

Very nice and at a good price! I may be in the market for a daily driver in that same price range myself, hope I get as lucky! Don't do black! j/k!

Why are all the FB's red, grey or black?

That's a very good question, but in the end every sports car you usually see is usually red. Got some more stuff for the car will post up a build thread when i have enough posts to be able to.
