my rx7. my gateway drug to cars.
Hi RotaryLovers,
Ever since i was 11, i have wanted one of these cars. I was in elementary when the 2nd generation was released. What boggled my mind most was the mechanics of the engine... just made more sense to me, less parts, higher rpms, less friction. I did not come from a mechanic savvy family. It took a few of hard knock lessons and some reading to just even begin to understand the complexity of automobiles.
i finally got my first one in May of 09. I could not be happier.... well once i get finish adding a few extras. I am one of those who prefers to keep things close to stock and only upgrading for mostly utilitarian reasons.
I can see buying an rx3 and another 2nd gen! I never thought I could be so excited about working, reading, and learning about cars. I have never been into automobiles much just the rx7 & its rotary engine. It helps to know exactly what happens when you press the gas, shift gears, or slam on the brakes. Now if I could just get into a network of rotary friends (thanks rx7club.com) and local friends in the Atlanta area—I'm in Athens.
