Thumbs up My name is sequentialsteve and im a rotoholic

Well after all these years of creeping around the forums and soaking up all the knowledge i can from all you generous peeps. I thought its about time to give a lil something back to the community from which i have taken so much. So a bit about me? Glad u asked. Like most guys here im not a mechanic im simply an enthusiast. Ive owned three Rx7's, in each consecutive iteration. And each in hindsight I immensely regret selling.
My current project is a 00 series 8 fd named Nanako. I name all my cars. I feel it gives them a bit more personality and It feels a little more satisfying when u curse at them when sh#t goes bad. Nanako got her name from my ex's crying Japanese flatmate. I felt like they had so much in common. Both had moved to Australia in their teens and both had deep seeded issues, possibly from an abusive background. Whilst I can only speculate at what used to make Nanako cry after making love to her doting boyfriend. The whimpers that echoed through those thin walls reminded my so much of my cars failing sequential system and the dosing noises that it used to make.
So ive drawn up the battle-lines im not going to give in and go single T. Im going to fight for nanako and cure here of her demons. There is too few getting around these days with a working sequential system and I want her to be a custodian of mazdas over-complicated vision.
What follows in the coming months (possibly years) will be my diary of rebuilding and re-engeneering my cars nest of rats. I believe ,possibly foolheartedly, that a bullet proof sequential system is possible running moderate boost.

Also current mods include-
aragosta coilovers
catback exhaust-unknown manufacturer
Hks intake
externaly mounted black box
speedy 18" rims

things ive had to fix so far-
rear pillow *****
rear upper and lower control arms bushes
rear caliper seal kit
blower motor
redone the anti vibration tape on all the plastic trims
plastic welded several interior trims
new turbo control actuator
major service
relocated the vac solenoids
upgraded the turbo 1 , turbo 2 and the cca solenoids with mac valves. (Will be plastic printing a new black box to upgrade all solenoids with these)
rebuilt uim/throttle body
custom made floor matts with mazda speed badges

Welcome to the club, Steve. **** yeah on keeping the twins.

Your FD's looking clean! I like the stance, I like the rims, and I think I recognize that oil spot.

Outstanding story and amazing FD!! I think your plans for the car are spot on. Gotta admit, I chuckled a little bit when reading the story. Well played!
