My fd build

Hello all. My name is Jay. I have been restoring my 92 fd rhd for the past 5-6 years. It’s finally starting to come together. When I started the build I didn’t realize how much I was going to refinish. Literally everything!! I’ve spent countless hours having almost every nut, bolt and screw refinished in black nickel and nickel sulfamate. Literally every steel part had corrosion on them so everything has been resurfaced or replaced. Dash rebar, pedal frames, heater linkage, heat shields, mounting brackets etc. Too many parts to mention. But if you really want to know? I have a list and it’s not small. I don’t no where to start. How about the dash
Everything I took apart had rust

Welcome, seems like you have a very extensive restoration project on your hands. Would love to see all the detail you put into fixing this up. I would recommend a build thread to document the process.

I'd love to follow along! This thread is in the wrong section though, maybe a mod can move it?

My FD ended up being more rusty than I'd hoped, and ended up with a full underbody and engine bay restoration before I installed the rebuilt 13b. Fortunately no major structural rust though for me and I'm nearing completion, but I love to follow builds like this!
