Maxton Rollerskate

I have a Maxton Rollerskate. A purpose built track and street car. Drive train is from a RX-7.
Car was in storage for 12 years.

Carb appears to be after market along with manifolds.
Where do I go to learn about carbs and rotary engines in general?? I am a piston engine guy needing to learn about the rotary engine. Tuning, trouble shooting, maintenance etc..

Welcome, you're certainly in the right place. There are TONS of subforums on this site that may focus on your direct needs/interests. Just read the rules and earn your access to the rest of the site and you'll be able to interact in the threads as opposed to just reading them.

This is a great website for rotary engine information in general. A wealth of information if you know the right words to search.

Please do. Its a car built in Colorado for the purpose of road racing, by road racers.
12A or 13A engine with 5 speed trans from an RX-7. All steel tube frame. Two seater, roll bar, harness seat belts. No radio, A/C,
Maxton has a web site.

Thanks. Car was stored for 12 years. I dropped the fuel tank and cleaned out the fuel system, replaced the rubber lines. They did Not like the alcohol in modern gas. Cleaned up the brake system and shined the original paint.
Very fun car.

The Maxton website lists the car with a 13B engine. The engine has 12A cast into the engine just below the carbs.
How do I ID the engine??

It's a 12A from a 1979-1985. The 1981-1985 have an extra port just above the exhaust ports. It's a square port for emissions.
