Lurking for years...
but finally have a reason to get active. I've owned all generation of the RX-7 from an '80 to an '87 TII and now a '93 work-in-progress. Let's see if I can get some pictures attached...
For sheer seat-of-the-pants driving fun, it's hard to beat the first gen. The TII was fast and capable, but left a little something to be desired. The '93 FD is way, way over the top. It is still getting broken in, but I did take it to the track for an easy test-and-tune and had lots of fun - even with the snow tires it had on the OEM wheels :-)

I sold it when I bought the TII. I missed it so much that I bought a '72 BMW 2002 as its spiritual replacement. The SA and 02 have much in common when it comes to seat-of-the-pants driving fun. They are also similar in weight and power, at least stock anyway. It's just a little easier to get parts for the BMW.
