Lurker from CT emerges! 1985 GS
Hey all! Lurking a while now, decided to finally post. I'm located in frosty Connecticut, land of rusted out 7's. I 'inherited' my father-in-law's 1985 GS about 18 months ago - he had owned it since the late 80's, taken good care of it, then gave it to his son to drive, who promptly drove it for many a winter and let it rust out. It was in a pretty sad state when I picked it up - front calipers seized, rockers rotted, rear suspension rotted, rotted over the rear wheels, fist-sized holes through the inner wheel liners...but, I've been working on it off and on for a few months now and it's slowly coming together. I'll post up a progress thread in the 1st gen forum once I get more pictures.
Aside from the 7, I have an 08 H-D Dyna Fatbob, a 99 Saab 9-3 Viggen, an 85 Saab 900 Turbo, and an 88 Ford Tbird Turbocoupe - like most of the folks here, I like unique cars
Anyway, looking forward to learning and contributing to the community!
