Luke of Arizona
That almost sounds like the Duke of Arizona... haha.
Well anyways, it's exactly as it says on the tin: I'm Luke, I live in Arizona. I'm gearing up to go to uni soon so I'll be getting a cheapo used car to start, and I thought, why not an RX-7? I don't exactly know when I'll be getting one, but it'll probably be an FC Zenki based on the classifieds that I'm looking at right now. It's a shame FDs are so expensive here. Would love to get an FD Kouki, but with that kind of money, I'd rather do a 20B/6-Speed swap. Or move to Japan.
I used to be a Toyota fanatic (and probably have some of that left over in me), but I got pretty discouraged finding the only MKIVs being 30k+ in my area, automatics, or 2JZ-GEs. I've heard plenty about the weird quirks about owning MKIIIs to not bother. The MR2s (all gens) are tiny, the FRS way out of my budget, All-Tracs virtually impossible to find, AE86s non-existent in-state, and all things FWD slightly deplorable for a overly traditional sports purist like me. So, tada, here I am.
I am through and through a car kid and absolutely love motorsports. In fact, buying the FC will hopefully be my first opportunity to try track racing. So, I'll be looking forward to all the racing gurus mentoring me along the way on this forum.
(btw mods, sorry for the double post on the "read this" thread #3, got confused by the 1 minute no successive post rule)
Cheers!
