Looking at getting back in the game

Use to own a 2nd gen gtu 20 years ago when I was a young pup but ended up selling it. Never lost interest in rx7s always wanted a fd back then, was a bit of a dream car being 21 with no cash. 20 years later Iam a bit shocked at the prices now for fds gonna keep my eyes open see if I can snag one for the right price

Depending on your budget, it may take some time for the right car to come along. The rule of thumb I would use is to buy the best example that you can afford. But to be fair, I've strayed from that and have bought some really fun project cars as well. It really just depends on your skillset and the time you are able to devote to a project if you go that route.

Cars are my Hobbie iam done with my current build and wanted to revisit the rx7 and finally get that fd but if dont happen it wasn't meant to be. I see from your name u wrench too I was a body/paint guy for over a decade built a few motors did some custom modz. Been around the block my knuckles have been cut more than I can remember

I've been rebuilding RX-7's for 22 years and I'm also restoring RX-8's now. I have quite a few customers that I do side work for. It funds my restorations. I'm currently restoring an 04 Nordic Green RX-8 GT. I had my youngest son help me remove the engine for replacement two weekends ago. Rebuilding these cars is a family thing and both of my boys are well into learning.
