Hey guys.
I owned a 1989 RX-7 GTUs when new, and a bud of mine bought a 1993 RX7 when new. He is now looking to get the old car back. His was stolen back in 1994, and he is not looking for that exact car, but one just like it.
It was silver with black interior.
I found one on ebay, but seems a bit pricey.

I'm helping him find one.
This one fits the bill, as its really clean and low mileage.
What are some things i should be looking for on these Gen 3 cars?
Any known trouble spots?

What are your thoughts on the one from ebay?

You will do better searching the FAQs in 3rd Gen Section. They cover all of this. A Google search of "Things to Look for when buying a 3rd Gen RX7" will also return at least one good result. Good luck.

Done some looking around.
Not too many that are still original and clean.
The few that are out there are asking upper teens to low 20s.

Besides here and ebay, and an extensive craigslist search, since jaxed.com is not including CL, where else to look for one?

Hey Stormrider. First off, the one on ebay is very nice and hard to come buy in that excellent condition. Second, I'm kind of wanting to sell my 3rd gen but it's not silver or black interior but has been rebuilt at 87k and has just over 1,700 on the rebuild with some good upgrades and is in pretty good condition. Only drawback is that I can't find the vacuum leak and there is a definite electrical issue as of late that i am still working hard to track down and fix. Just take a look at my pictures and I can explain more about the details of the performance upgrades and the problems at hand. And I am selling it in the lower teens and I live on the west coast. If not, hope you guys find one that fits him perfectly.

Miniman, I bet your silver FD is GORGEOUS! I was looking for a silver one, but settled on a VR. Congrats!
