Long Time Owner. First Time Poster
I am the original owner of a spark yellow 78, (early 79) Rx7 GS - Roxy . I have personally owned seven cars in my life and still have five of them. I get attached. (My wife changes cars more often than I change toothbrushes.)
In addition to Roxy, the fleet includes a '26 Rolls (gift from my British Uncle), a '59 AH (my first car), a '67 E-Type (most beautiful car ever made) and an '89 Alfa Spyder (daily driver). The e-type was purchased in pieces.
I have not undertaken a major restoration in about 10 years, the bugeye. So, my son and I decided to warm up on the RX7. Roxy is very complete, ran well and was mechanically sound when I dismantled it. The main issue being rust in the right rear. It was so severe that exhaust fumes were getting in the car. I am doing what I call a cosmetic restoration - lots of body, paint and interior work.
I'm a member of the Jag Lovers Forum which was been a treasure trove of information. My TAG, OCDHerb, was given to me by them due to my interest in the details. I'm sure you all will be a similar resource for the RX7. Hopefully I can contribute to your projects too.
Greetings,
Herb
