Hi there,

I came here a while back while I was deployed. I totally rebuilt an 87 RX-7 base model back before I left and had a wonderful time doing it. It was the only engine I have still to this day ever rebuilt. Unfourtunately the guy who I bought it from (In MD) was never able to be found to get the title for it. It sits still at my old home in Florida.

I just bought a new one. 86 GXL with 50K mi on it. Everything works, not a scratch on it! interior is perfect, the whole thing is perfect. The auto adjusting suspension works, everything. I just bought new fluids for it and will be changing the Diff and Trans tomorrow.

I live in Pittsburgh now, out of the Army and a will be joining a local club here called West Penn Mazda. Right now the car is my daily driver for work and what-not so I have been taking it easy on it. I still redline it of course as I understand they need that every once in a while.

I will be getting an intake and possibly an exaust soon and will be searching and posting about that. I am also working on getting my old rx back up here to me so I can maybe have a spare engine as well as other parts. By now the old car (Despite the seals being brand new when I parked it) is probably rotted and may need another rebuild although the clutch and many other compnents should still be fine. It also has a straight pipe exaust (With only a resonator for a muffler). Im going to have a frined who still lives down there and get the VIN for me so I can file for the lost title.
