Long time lurker, newbie poster
Hello, my name is Philip. I am an old guy that normally just soaks up the info on a few message boards like RX7 club and some others that are related to autocrossing.
I have owned a '93 FD for about 14 years. It is set up for SCCA stock class autocross competition and has never been a DD for me. I autocrossed it for a number of years until 2004 when I got a daily driver C5 Z06 and now a C6 Z06 both of which I autocrossed. I grew tired of the big car and swapping the big race tires on the Vettes, so I brought the FD out of retirement and ran it this past season where it is now classed in A Stock with SCCA. Still a tough class for a FD, so I am consider setting it up for A Street Prepared. That has motivated me to get qualiied to have more access to the forum, which I used to have, and to be able to ask questions as I now considering modifying my FD.
Educated as an Aeronautical and Astronautical engineer at the University of Illinois, but always worked in the construction industry. Sports cars over the years include '65 and '67 Mustangs, numerous Z cars, SHO, T-Bird SuperCoupe, Maxima SE, and a BMW M5 . The fleet still includes the '67 Mustang, a Suburu STi, a Scarab conversion 240Z, a C6 Z06 DD, the FD, a PU truck for the winter, and my wife's Odyssey.

Well, Philip, thanks for keeping the old account active and not starting a new one! I'm seeing more and more of these old accounts come back alive and that's really a great thing to see!
2004...wow...I've restored your access and kicked up your post count in deference to your "legacy" status.
"Welcome back" to RX-7 Club!
